The architecture of industrial buildings has always been a very important issue in the economic development of society. One of the factors in improving and upgrading industrial buildings is understanding the structure and spatial understanding of past industrial buildings. There is limited information available about the industrial buildings of Iran's past architecture, and this issue has been addressed much less. The production of an oily substance that was poured into special lamps and created a more or less satisfactory light led to the construction of small industrial factories called "Assar Khaneh" in traditional Iranian architecture. Assar Khanehs have a simple yet complex function. One of the most important methods for measuring the spatial structure of an environment is the concept of spatial configuration. This concept confirms that the readability of the spatial structure of an industrial building has a significant impact on its performance. This research aims to measure the spatial structure of Assar Khanehs in the cities of Isfahan and Najafabad as examples that have remained largely intact in the same shape and space. The research method is descriptive-analytical, and the reading of the spatial structure of Assar Khanehs and the analysis of their spatial configuration have been used using A-graph and Depth Map software. The results of the research show that the integrity of the central space of Assar Khaneh and their role as a connecting or interface space, as well as the short distance between spaces to reduce fatigue caused by traveling different routes in the spatial structure of Assar Khanehs, have been effective in its function.
