title = {Explaining and Evaluation of Users\' Preferences in Office Spaces in Iran in order to Improve Environmental Quality},
abstract ={Due to changes in society, most people are working in administrative and office sectors. This issue makes the importance of designing office spaces obvious more than ever. Studies show that the design of desirable and suitable administrative environments increases employee satisfaction and motivation and has a significant impact on people's productivity and efficiency. In this way, it is essential to conduct studies to explain the preferences of administrative space users to increase the environmental quality. On the other hand, concepts, such as "environmental quality" and "user preferences" are dependent on the social and cultural conditions of each society, and it is worth conducting more studies in this regard in Iran and explaining and formulating these topics for Iranian users. Studies in the field of user preferences are usually conducted by questioning and collecting data, quantitatively from the target groups. In this study, data were collected by reviewing previous studies and extracting the main factors, as well as design of a questionnaire during the research. The target group in the designed questionnaire is the employees of office spaces in Iran and the research method is descriptive-analytical. The research results showed that different environmental qualities in office space have different and meaningful values from the point of view of the employees of these environments, and they can be ranked in order of importance. According to the findings of the quantitative part of the research, the factors of "presence of natural light", "having peace and environmental security in the layout and interior space", "cleanliness and orderliness of the work environment", "the presence of greenery, trees and plants in the work environment" and "the beauty of the work environment" according to Iranian users of office environments have the most importance and priority, respectively. In contrast, the factors of "possibility to see and observe colleagues during work", "diversity in interior spaces and furniture" and "possibility to change furniture and workspace according to personal taste" from the perspective of Iranian users have the least importance and priority, respectively. },

abstract ={The reflection of the cultural and social roots of any society is reflected in its architecture. The cities of Shiraz and Borujerd can be considered as a treasure of historical houses of Iran, whose cultural and social roots are reflected in the architecture of the houses. By analyzing the spatial structure of historical houses with the help of spatial configuration, it is possible to get acquainted with the different physical-spatial methods used in those houses. The purpose of this research is to know the spatial structure of historical houses in Shiraz and Borujerd, which have many differences from each other in terms of environmental structure. The research method is a combination of analytical-descriptive methods, software analysis and finally logical reasoning. In this way, the research method is based on the strategy of the research method of space arrangement and its complement is the collection of case samples and their analysis. The research has two qualitative and quantitative phases. In this way, in the qualitative phase, data and field observations are collected, and in the quantitative phase, selected research samples are analyzed with the help of space layout software. The results of the research show that the spatial structure of the historical houses of Shiraz and Borujerd are almost similar to each other in some cases such as introversion, spatial organization and placement of spaces in the plan; But in many ways, they have a different spatial structure compared to each other. The geometry of the historical houses of Shiraz is square and the historical houses of Borujerd are rectangular. The entrances of historical houses in Shiraz have recesses. The type of seven doors can be seen in the historical houses of Borujerd, which is not visible in the historical houses of Shiraz. The placement of stairs in the historical houses of Shiraz is different compared to Borujerd. The spatial elements of the pond and the porch are used in the historical houses of Shiraz, which cannot be seen in the historical houses of Borujerd. Also, in connection with the differences in the spatial configuration of the historical houses of Shiraz and Borujerd, it is necessary to explain that the spatial configuration of the historical houses of Shiraz and Borujerd have many differences. Spatial continuity and spatial function of historical houses in Shiraz are more suitable than historical houses in Borujerd. The privacy used in the historical houses of Borujerd is more suitable than the historical houses of Shiraz. The control over the spaces in the historical houses of Shiraz is more than the historical houses of Borujerd. In the historical houses of Borujerd, compared to the historical houses of Shiraz, access to the spaces is more suitable. },

title = {Rereading the concept of preserving and revitalizing industrial heritage structures based on modern conservation perspectives},
abstract ={Today, one of the concepts that has received attention in the field of cultural heritage and protection is industrial heritage. This heritage has an important place in all nations, which is recognized as a recognizable and attractive element in the society, and in this sense, it is the focus of contemporary life, and at the same time, it is considered a historical precedent for the society. The heritage of industrial architecture includes the remaining works of industrial culture that have different values and their protection is important and worthy of attention. In general, any conservation activity takes place when the object or place is valuable and at risk, and therefore decisions about treatment, intervention, and use are based on this value. With the industrialization of countries in the current century and changes in societies, many old industrial complexes in cities have lost their use and remained unused. Reusing these works and preserving their social and cultural values requires serious studies. Revival and appropriate change of use of these works can be a way to preserve the continuity of the values of this group of structures which can be done according to their cultural and architectural characteristics. Today, many developed countries have turned these works into residential-office or exhibition-cultural spaces with various uses of industrial complexes. The legacy of the industrialization culture of countries is one of the most significant works in civilizations. These works have various features in the structure that show themselves along with technological growth in different countries. These works indicate the entry of industry into societies and their preservation and revival is a matter of concern. The purpose of this study is to identify the effective components in the preservation and rehabilitation of industrial heritage structures and explain the conceptual model of integrated protection in this area. The research method is descriptive-analytical and documentary studies and reading laws and charters in the field of protection and industrial heritage have been used. Findings indicate that components such as historical value, aesthetic value, social value and economic value in the field of value protection and physical body characteristics, technological characteristics and environmental context in the field of physical-functional protection are effective criteria in preservation and rehabilitation that knowing them in conservation and rehabilitation processes can provide integrated protection in this area. Therefore, when interventions in industrial heritage are made according to the values in interaction with the environmental context and technological and physical characteristics, the best approach to preserve and revitalize industrial heritage over time will be. },

title = {CFD study of the effect of building form on reducing the traffic pollutants and increasing the ventilation velocity inside the building in the urban slabbed context},
abstract ={One of the most important factors affecting air pollution in cities is the pollution caused by urban traffic. Therefore, concern about human health against pollutants in the air has become a crisis in the lives of citizens. The effect of the emission of suspended particles caused by traffic on air quality in urban canyons has been investigated in various researches. Meanwhile, the impact of this issue on indoor air quality has been less investigated. On the other hand, the morphology of buildings has a great impact on the distribution pattern of pollutants in an urban context. In recent years, the role of building morphology on the spread of pollution in urban research and environmental design has received less attention. Accordingly, in this research, the role of the morphology of buildings in an urban context on the distribution of pollutants caused by traffic in the building interior is discussed. Therefore, the form of buildings in an urban context is considered as an independent variable and indoor air quality with two sub-variables of air velocity and pollutant concentration as a dependent variable. The research process is carried out in such a way that at first, by using grasshopper software, wasp plugin, and with the help of Aggregation algorithm, 100 form samples were produced, among which 6 main forms, similar to existing building forms in the urban context of district 1 of the Shiraz city was selected. Then, by rotating each of the forms in four directions, a total of 12 cases of urban context were produced. A building in the center of each urban context was selected as the target building and air quality including air velocity and concentration of pollutants was measured inside it. In this research, the cases were simulated using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Steady 3-dimensional flow was used to simulate the cases using the SST-Kω turbulence model, which was numerically solved based on the Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations. The CFD software used in this research was validated in comparison with wind tunnel tests, which yielded acceptable results. The results showed that the form of the buildings in the context has a significant effect on the air quality (effect of velocity and pollutant concentration) inside the buildings. Also, based on the results of the TOPSIS multi-criteria decision-making method, the best and the worst building form are related to the L-form and the step-shaped form, respectively. The results of this research suggest design solutions for architects and urban designers to improve the ventilation quality of buildings. },

title = {The Order of the Mosques Entrance Spatial Structure in Shiraz in the Qajar period},
abstract ={Religious spaces, especially mosques, were of great importance in the Islamic era. The entrance space, which is the first element to enter, can have a physical and functional role and convey meanings. The view that the beliefs and values of the society result in architectural innovations is most commonly found in the physical and spatial system of mosques. The present study aimed at the typology of mosque entrance based on the physical differences, path, and direction of the entrance. However, the mosques entrance has undergone many changes over the course of history, which is the criterion for examining the current conditions of the mosques due to the lack of information. The research is a descriptive-analytical study, i.e. the analysis of the spaces designed for the entrance of the Qajar mosques in Shiraz. The paper first focuses on the development of entrance from the beginning, and then describes the entrance space, role, and components in the mosques. In this section, all the mosques in Shiraz constructed in the Qajar period are studied, and their physical characteristics and components are reported in few tables. Finally, the characteristics of all the Shiraz mosques in the Qajar period are mentioned according to field research and available maps. By examining all the remaining mosques, it is possible to categorize their entrances in terms of the entrance components, axis, entry, decorations, façade and plan ratios, entrance pattern, and entrance location. },

title = {Mostafā Qoli Khān Farrāshbāshi mansion},
abstract ={The mansion of Mostafā Qoli Khān Farrāshbāshi, which is known today as Khaneh-ye Shiran, is located in the Darb-e Koushk neighborhood of Isfahan. This mansion was built in the first decade of Zell-e Soltān's rule(1884-1875) in Isfahan and had unique features in authentic Iranian native architecture. The purpose of this research is to introduce Mostafā Qoli Khān Farrāshbāshi as the founder of the building and to examine its architecture and distinctive features. The research method is the historical and content analysis of research data with a descriptive and analytical approach based on documents, archival manuscripts and unpublished government reports, active interviews, and field and library studies. According to the findings of the research, Mostafā Qoli Khān, as Farrāshbāshi of Zell-e Soltān in Dār al-Saltaneh of Isfahan, was the ruler and official of the government and the approver of the civil accounts of some provinces under the rule of Zell-e Soltān. Also, he was one of the executive workers for the construction, restoration, and reconstruction of Isfahan barracks and the restoration and repair of some historical buildings of Isfahan during the golden period of Zell-e Soltān's rule (1874 to 1887) based on documents and manuscripts. In 1888, Mostafā Qoli Khān was suddenly removed from the position of Farrāshbāshi and the government of Iraq, and his properties were confiscated. Farrāshbāshi Mansion is one of the properties that Zell-e Soltān confiscated after the death of Mostafā Qoli Khān. The Farrāshbāshi mansion was built on a floor with two courtyards, nine-door, five-door halls, Gushvāreh, and sash rooms. According to the history of the main entrance and the extent of the facilities that the Farrāshbāshi Zell-e Soltān mansion should have, it seems that the mansion has benediction from the east, west and the second courtyard area, and its main door was located in Kucheh-ye Gerdu before Zikr Allāh Mosque. The salient features of the current mansion are Farrāshbāshi, an all-around porch, two nine-door halls, and a bathroom.},
