This technology has also been used in the documentation of historical monuments. Modeling by aided this technology in historical buildings is known as the abbreviation HBIM, which provides a new method for modeling in the field of architectural heritage protection and includes digital model making, documentation, storage, and information management. The HBIM process involves surveying existing structures through remote sensing and using terrestrial laser scanning data, followed by point cloud processing and creating a 3D model of orthoimages. Therefore, the final result of HBIM is a product consisting of 3D models of the building, including all the details of the work and components related to its construction methods and decorations. In addition, it can also be used to generate protection documents for analysis automatically. In addition to drawing a 3D model in this environment, it can be enriched with the possibility of creating more capabilities to link with intangible heritage information such as historical images and texts and so on.
